Education for Sustainable Development Activity for Schools

For Will Legend, the School Education for Sustainable Development Activity (School ESD Activity) are based on the school’s regular teaching, through environmental conservation (protection) and charity activities, to promote the integration of humans, society, economy and nature at the social and community levels, and to help achieve the United Nations’ 2030 sustainable development goals. Through glacier, land and ocean conservation and education programmes to tackle climate change; Through community support scheme to promote lasting peace in society, and inclusive communities.

Sustainable Development Goal Achievement Badges

Through the “Green-blueprint Initiative”, Will Legend plans ESD’s activities for schools to implement quality education, and climate actions of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We provide schools with activities that address over 11 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (including Biodiversity). Allow principals, teachers and students to enjoy the learning process easily, and combine diversified activities into “Quality Education”. At the same time, through implemented programmes and activities, schools and students can truly implement the sustainable development goals and then obtain achievement badges.

The Country’s First Joint Operation, Protects Glacier, Land and Ocean

Through “Let the Glacier Cool, Urban Wildlife Corridors, and Let the Ocean breathe”, Will Legend draws a “Green-blueprint” for the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature. Then, it connects national management authorities and scientific research institutions to lead the people of Hong Kong to face up to global warming and jointly tackle climate change.

The Country’s First “Third Pole Hong Kong Glacier Landmark” Makes Hong Kong Principals, Teachers and Students Proud

On December 27, 2023, Dagu Glacier Management Bureau and Will Legend held a “Let the Glacier Cool” Exchange Meeting. After the meeting, the authority organized a ceremony to unveil the “Third Pole Hong Kong Glacier Museum” and present the “Third Pole Hong Kong Glacier Landmark”, representing the in-depth cooperation between the people of Hong Kong and Mainland of China to jointly carry out the First Joint Action on Glacier Protection in the Country. “Let the Glacier Cool” conservation and education has received the supports from Professor Wang Feiteng, director of Tianshan Glaciological Station (Tianshan Glacier Observation and Research Station) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dagu Glacier Scenic Area Management Bureau, building a bridge of friendship between Hong Kong and the Mainland China. Will Legend joins hands with teachers and students to step on the Dagu Glacier in Sichuan and the Tianshan Glacier No.1 in Xinjiang to further strengthen scientific research on glacier protection, lead the Hong Kong public to embark on a glacier conservation journey in a popular way, and promote the protection of The Third Pole, Antarctica and Arctic.

Strengthen the Global Response to the Threat of Climate Change, Cool the Earth

Will Legend uses land (forest) and ocean conservation and education programmes to absorb the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and use “Greenhouse Cooling Patch SDG7™” to tackle climate change, and slow down the glacier ablation.

First Joint Action on “Let the Ocean Breathe” in the Country uses South China Sea as the starting point to promote the protection of oceans and marine ecology. Let the public understand the importance of releasing clean air from the ocean for humans and living creatures. Will Legend has joined forces with the Guangdong Nanpeng Islands Ocean Ecology National Nature Reserve Administration Management Bureau to protect Life Below Water, join hands with teachers and students to leap into the Guangdong Nanpeng Islands Marine Ecological National Nature Reserve to further strengthen ocean protection to restore marine biodiversity.

First Joint Action on “Urban Wildlife Corridor” in the Country, Will Legend has joined forces with the Nan’ao Island National Forest Park Management Committee to jointly carry out conservation and education to protect Life On Land, join hands with teachers and students to fly to the Nan’ao Island National Forest Park above the Tropic of Cancer, to further strengthen scientific research on the protection of terrestrial ecosystems and forests, realize the “Integration” of forests, cities and green corridors, and explore Environment and Sustainable Living, Eco (Green) Living and the Geographical Development of the Country.
