“Hold Me In Your Arms” Response to SCO 2025: Jointly Addressing Global Challenges – No Poverty and SGDs

In this article, Will Legend will explain how to transform the “Green-blueprint” Glacier, Land and Ocean Conservation and Education Programmes into multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including “No Poverty SDG1”, to better implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping to promote a sustainable and beautiful future for the world.

May 20, 2025 – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday sent a congratulatory letter to the 2025 SCO (the Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Forum on Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development, held in Xi’an, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. Xi pointed out that poverty eradication, a global issue, is a common goal of all countries in the world. Through arduous efforts, China has successfully won the battle against poverty, achieved the poverty reduction target of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ten years ahead of schedule, blazed a poverty reduction path with Chinese characteristics, and written a new chapter in the history of mankind’s fight against poverty, Xi said. Hong Kong Will Legend advocates the use of conservation, education and social-philanthropy activities to promote the sharing of economic achievements, inclusive society, and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, and to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Climate Goals, as a way to learn from President Xi’s spirit of promoting the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. On the sunny morning of May 20, 2025, the founder of ” Hold Me In Your Arms”, William Hung, walked into the community, pushing boxes of fruits, Dragon Boat Festival dumplings and Third Pole Glacier-Honey™ on a cart to his old place (Ngau Chi Wan Village, Kowloon). In the morning, William stayed at the recycling point, waiting for the arrival of groups of elderly people and neighbors who came to collect waste paper. After years of knowing with each other, some “old friends” would directly call out, “Hi, William! You’re here again!” After lunch, William’s arms started moving again.
